OBJECTIVE: For pupils to extend their vocabulary
The teacher divides the class in two groups. Both groups receive cards with a family member on it (e.g. uncle). One group in French and the other group in English/Welsh. The pupils can use the word on the card to communicate and find their “translation” partner.
What you need to do:
Familiarise pupils with vocabulary.
Pupils can keep the card when they successfully find their translation partner and receive a new one. At the end they can count their cards to see who has the most cards.
