Fruit and Veg

OBJECTIVE: For pupils to develop active listening skills

Pupils will identify whether a word given in Welsh, German or English is a fruit or a vegetable.

What you need to do:

Make two areas of the classroom and designate one as Fruit/ Ffrwythau/ Obst and the other as Vegetables/ Llysiau/ Gemüse. Play a word from the vocab section and ask 'Obst oder Gemüse/ Ffrwythau neu Llysiau/ Fruit or Vegetable? Pupils will indicate if they think it is a fruit or vegetable by standing in the correct area of the classroom.

Extension:

Add a third 'trick' area to the classroom, and use random nouns in all three languages.
