Bucket and Spade

Objective: Learning / acquiring language through rhythm.

Teach pupils the following 4-beat rhythm:

Establish the rhythm and then add these words:

Teacher: Who lost the bucket from the bucket and spade?

Teacher: (Pupil 1 name) lost the bucket from the bucket and spade

Pupil 1: Who me?

Teacher: Yes you

Pupil 1: Not me

Teacher: Then who?

Pupil 1: (Pupil 2  name) lost the bucket from the bucket and spade

Pupil 2: Who me?

Pupil 1: Yes you

Pupil 2: Not me

Pupil 1: Then who?

Pupil 2: (Pupil 3 name) lost the bucket from the bucket and spade

Pupil 3: Who me? 

And so on.
